Coming out
Today I went to a cremation. It was another important step in my coming out. My in-laws have come to know and accept Evelien already, but in my own family I am not that far yet. Not to mention the many relatives and friends of the deceased that showed up. It was awfully crowded, I [...]
Gee, cool!
Today I met a former colleague, I hadn’t seen in four years. He didn’t recognize me. I politely introduced myself as Evelien and said, that we had met before. When I mentioned my old name, he immediately remembered me. Of course I was curious how he would react to me, but I’ve always known him [...]
Underperforming
What a day! Today I had the yearly talk with my boss about my performance. And he’s not very satisfied, I won’t get a raise On the bright side: He doesn’t seem to have any problem with my expression of my gender identity on the job. That subject wasn’t even mentioned! My female appearance is [...]

Sexual Reassignment Engineering
It is nice to have a blog, but before I can open it to the public, I need to do some mayor maintenance to the rest of my site. It must be a year ago I last did that. At that time, I replaced (almost) every occurance of my male name ‘Evert’ with the androgynous [...]
Can I post a link?
This is of course the moment to surf to Gendertalk and listen to their wonderful, weekly GLBT program! (In Holland it starts at 12:30 AM. That is 6:30 PM EST…) And you don’t even have to listen live; they also have an archive…
Blog?
Here we go! My very own Weblog. I wonder, why they call it a ‘Blog’?
